Aerial Work Platforms

The MEC aerial work platform brand is well known and respected in the Rental business. Contractors and industrial users have praised its quality, functionality and reliability for over 30 years. Until 2001, MEC scissor lifts were built in Wisconsin by Mayville Engineering Company. In 2002 Mayville sold its MEC Scissor Lift Division to Jim Tolle and Craig Braun.

Tolle and Braun set up the New Generation MEC production facility. They started the new production process with a thorough review of all past warranty claims and customer inquiries and concerns. After all changes were made, an extensive testing program was implemented before products were released for production. When most manufacturers are directing their efforts at aggressively removing cost and ultimately cheapening their machines, MEC is concentrating on reducing service calls and keeping machines up and running.

In the beginning of 2005 MEC Europe was set up for continuing and extending the distribution of MEC Products. As the name already indicates the main target of the European continent, MEC Europe continually keeps a wide stock of all existing MEC Products and SpareParts. MEC Europe is located in Dordrecht, The Netherlands. With the Rotterdam harbour only 30 minutes away, it gives MEC Europe the flexibility for easy and accurate distribution all over Europe, and when required beyond.
